HR Assistant Intern

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)**:The key responsibilities of the position are as follows, but not limited to:
- Support the Head of Department Manager with all Human Resources related matters.
- Update employee personal information and personnel file.
- Filing of all relevant documentation in employee files.
- Opening of new employee files; verify that all required documentation is in the employee file as per checklist.
- Ensure that annual verification checks are completed timeously.
- Terminating employees as per termination checklist.
- Keep all HR files neat and tidy (controlled).
- Facilitate and coordinate with company events and receive company visitors.
- Assist with the compilation and storage of records, reports, and documentation in accordance with legislative requirements e.g. POPIA and Pensions Act.
- Archiving of documents (terminated employees, working documents, etc.).
- Verify all employee clocking on Beyond Attendance.
- Perform PCI, Quality and HR audits (electronic & employee files) to ensure employee data integrity.
- Capture Purchase Orders and Purchase Orders via Sage and manual where needed.
- Assist with Customer Onboarding.
- Assist with various admin tasks.
- Provide any general administrative assistance required with projects and ad-hoc requests.
- Assist HOD with travel and meeting arrangements.
- Assist other Departments on a needs basis.
- Additionally, he/she is responsible to maintain and represent the department with the level of integrity and confidentiality.***
**PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION**:
- B. Comm Degree (HR Management / Industrial Psychology) or relevant degree level education (**Essential**).
**PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE**:
- Minimum of 1 years or more proven experience in Human Resources administrative.
- Minimum of 1 years proven experience in filing.
- Experience in delivering HR administration, HR support and Assistant HR service delivery functions.
- Experience on Sage (A must).
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
- Strong administration skills.
- Ability to support staff/ functions / management.
- Willingness to work in flexible working time models.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and external customers.
- Ability, at all times and under pressure, to manage internal customers, in a positive and professional manner.
- Well-co-ordinated organisation, planning and time management.
