**Our client, an upmarket estate has an opening available for an outgoing and creative Communications Manager.**
**Job brief**
We are seeking a self-motivated and talented communications manager to drive the internal communication strategy on our Estate. In this position, you will be responsible for producing high-quality content that engages residents and builds on a community spirit, a sense of belonging and that enhances the brand recognition of our leading residential estate.
**Responsibilities**
- Build relationships with residents to grow estate and community awareness
- Maintain the estate’s corporate image and identity, which includes the use of logos and signage around the estate
- Set up a tracking and reporting system to measure all our communications efforts
- Responsible for proactive and reactive communication efforts, including the development and execution of awareness campaigns, writing and commissioning editorial content, coordinating announcements and responding to enquiries generated by residents
- Develop and implement organizational publicity strategies for HOA events
- Be the face and voice of the HOA at these social and sporting events held on the estate
- Create and manage a communications plan, including content calendars, target messaging, budgets, timelines, etc.
- Analyse all snags, issues and suggestions reported by residents and draft appropriate responses and develop necessary programs, initiatives and campaigns, within agreed timelines
- Design and review a variety of awareness and promotional materials
- Respond in an efficient and timely manner to incidents on the estate and other flash messaging as required
- Prepare articles and deliver a high-quality and desirable monthly HOA newsletter
- Develop and manage Residents surveys and consult with Homeowners to monitor and measure resident satisfaction
- Develop content that promotes our brand through impactful and relevant messaging across a range of platforms, to promote HOA presence and improve our reach and engagement with residents
- Create, edit, and update promotional material including visual communications and digital content such as brochures, flyers, and outdoor screens media etc
- Ensure our brand values are consistently adopted to help build a positive repertoire with Homeowners
**Requirements and skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Communications, or Marketing
- 6 to 8 years of experience in developing and implementing successful PR/communication strategies
- Strong writing skills, proficiency in English language, and knowledge of social media
- Inter-personal skills are vital for developing relationships with Residents and in handling tricky situations and resolving disputes
- Plan and coordinate our formal meeting calendar including AGMs, Budget Sessions, monthly Board meetings, and Information Sessions
- A confident communicator and outgoing presenter
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Be proactive, dependable, responsible, and accurate with an attention to detail mindset
- Event planning & hosting experience
- Excellent organizational, planning and project management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Well-developed IT skills particularly MS office products suite including various design programs
**Salary**: R45,000.00 - R50,000.00 per month
