_**Qualifications**_

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in New Media, Digital Media, Communications, Journalism or Public Relations or related field.
- **Experience**_
- A minimum of five years’ experience producing social media artwork for a government department or organ of state.
- Knowledge and understanding of Ministerial protocol and experience working with a political principal in the field of communications, with emphasis on new media, social media and public relations.
- Experience in crisis communication on social media for the post
- school education and training system will be advantageous.
- **Deliverables **_
- Develop Social media strategy for clients.
- Production of social media strategy for a national education client, as well as an NGO in education, food security and religious tourism (including Confex).
- Creation and/or maintenance of unmediated social media platforms, following the production of the social media strategy;
- Proactively manage the Minister, Deputy Minister and Director General’s (DG) social media accounts, in consultation with his delegated representative, for the purpose of profiling departmental work;
- End-to-end digital management of key departmental webinars;
- Creating static and dynamic content
- Social media posters for pre
- and post-events;
- Live social media coverage of events;
- 4Creation of two or more monthly videos that profile departmental work for easy sharing on social media; and
- Post-event video clips.
- Proactively manage the Minister, Deputy Minster and the Director
- General’s social media accounts, in consultation with his delegated representative, for the purpose of profiling departmental work
- Daily monitoring of social media platforms to uncover key matters that need addressing; and
- Daily production and management of posts.
- Develop the Social Media Strategy, create and maintain unmediated social media platforms.
- Work with team to produce a social media strategy; and
- Support team to create/maintain social media platforms based on the strategy.
- Live streaming of the Minister, Deputy Minister and the Director-General’s events
- Engagement with hosts to ensure technical capacity to live stream Ministerial and DG’s events through identified social media channels; and
- Live-stream Ministerial and DG’s events, where requested.
- End-to-end digital management of key departmental webinars
- Technical capacity to host webinars, when requested
- Regular reports to management
- Compile monthly progress reports on the management of Ministerial and DG’s social media accounts, and the work produced.
- **Term**_

3-year contract, full time.

**Salary**

Commensurate with experience and criteria. Otherwise R130/hour
- **Criteria for qualification**_
- Clear indication that the applicant has relevant knowledge and experience on social media strategy, media intervention, crisis media relations, media research, etc in the PSET system, as well as a repository of digital media work applicable to the PSET (Post School Education and Training) system.
- Please present a list of experience in social media strategy, media intervention, crisis media relations, media research or similar projects completed for the PSET system.
- Present referrals of successful implementation
- Organisation profile and proven experience of successfully completed projects of this kind and magnitude
