A Registered Chartered Accountants and Auditors firm, has a vacancy available for a motivated **Accounting Supervisor** to join their team in **Stellenbosch**. The purpose of this role is to act as the supervisor for the monthly accounting division.

**What we do**:
We advise on business trends, processes, and systems to give clients peace of mind in order for them to focus on their business interests, growth and future plans.

**Your role**:
We are looking for a SAIPA registered accountant who has completed their articles at a professional services firm.
- Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department
- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Participate in regular tax audits and payroll
- Prepare budgeting reports and forecast revenues
- Manage month end and year end closing
- Team supervision, coaching, performance management, training and succession planning. Participating in setting and achieving individual performance and development objectives to support a high performing culture
- Review and submit all relevant statutory and regulatory returns performed by the accounting team
- Identify opportunities for innovation and optimisations to drive value and minimize the cost

**What you need**:

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting at a recognized institution
- Completed 3 years of SAIPA Articles
- Exposure to accounting systems
