We are looking for a Reservationist.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:
- To ensure that all reservations are recorded following procedures with full and clear information and that they are input accurately and promptly onto the booking system.
- To maximize revenue by converting enquiries, recognizing business prospects and taking every opportunity to upsell, including promoting all the activities on the Estate i.e. Winery and Spa.
- Understands and adhere to proper accounting policies and procedures. Ensure deposits are paid timeously and billing is noted properly on reservation and back up documentation is filed with correspondence.
- Prepares for the current day’s arrivals to ensure guest satisfaction (special requests, packages/promos, amenities, VIPs, room type, rate, etc).
- Pre-bills on line travel agent bookings by using virtual credit cards while verifying billing is set up properly and accurately.
- Tracks and notes all early arrivals, late departures, room moves, VIP’s and repeat
- guests, as well as any special requests.
- To liaise with other departments to ensure the best service is provided to our customers.
- Assists with Front Office overflow calls.
- To ensure that all your work meets company standards; all function paperwork must be accurate and complete, including catering requirements, booking supplements and payment details.
- To have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the operation of the business including all food and beverage menus to ensure that you are able to respond to customer enquiries.
- Anticipate potential issues and problems and engage proactively to avoid them.
- Prepares for the following day’s arrivals to ensure guest satisfaction (special requests, packages/promos, amenities, VIPs, room type, rate, etc).
- Directs all guest requests and issues to the proper departments if you are unable to assist; follows through to ensure requests and issues are fully resolved.
- To undertake general administration duties.
- To observe the standard operating procedures and carry out any reasonable request
- made by their Manager, Supervisor or the Duty Manager.
- Step in and assist in other departments as the need arise.
- To attend training sessions and team meetings as required and to be involved and contribute to these.
**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R9,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Stellenbosch, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- High School (matric) (required)
**Experience**:
- Reservationist: 2 years (required)
