This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with premium products and contribute to the success of our organization.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Sales Generation:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets for wine and spirits products.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospecting and cold-calling potential customers.
- Conduct product presentations and tastings to educate clients on the unique features and qualities of our wines and spirits.
- Recommend suitable products based on customer preferences and provide exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
2. Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, including wine and spirits retailers, restaurants, bars, and hotels.
- Regularly visit clients to understand their needs, address concerns, and provide ongoing product support.
- Collaborate with customers to develop customized wine and spirits programs, promotions, and events to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and business growth.
3. Territory Management:
- Effectively manage assigned sales territory, ensuring comprehensive coverage and maximum market penetration.
- Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the local market dynamics, including customer preferences, buying patterns, and industry trends.
- Plan and organize sales activities, including client visits, product demonstrations, trade shows, and promotional events.
- Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, manage customer information, and generate accurate sales reports.
4. Product Knowledge and Training:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new product releases, and market developments related to wines and spirits.
- Continuously expand product knowledge to effectively communicate the unique attributes and qualities of our portfolio.
- Conduct training sessions for customers, including staff education and product tastings, to enhance their understanding and selling ability.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the wine and spirits industry.
- Strong passion for wines and spirits, with a deep understanding of different varietals, regions, and production methods.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of clients.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional negotiation and persuasive selling skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and customer preferences.
- Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Pay: R15,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
