Job Summary: The Digital Marketing Assistant will play a key role in supporting the digital marketing efforts of our group of lodges in Cape Town. This position requires a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for digital marketing and hospitality. The Digital Marketing Assistant will assist in implementing and managing digital marketing campaigns, content creation, social media management, and website maintenance to drive brand awareness, engagement, and bookings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Content Creation:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content calendars, storyboards, and creative briefs for various marketing campaigns.
- Ensure all content is optimized for SEO and aligns with brand guidelines and messaging.
- Social Media Management:

- Support the Digital Marketing Manager in managing and monitoring social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) for the group of lodges.
- Schedule and publish posts, respond to comments and messages, and engage with followers to foster community engagement and brand loyalty.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations for optimizing content and strategies.
- Digital Advertising Campaigns:

- Assist in the setup, execution, and optimization of digital advertising campaigns across various platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook Ads, and display networks.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and generate reports to track ROI and effectiveness.
- Conduct keyword research, ad copywriting, and A/B testing to optimize campaign performance and maximize ROI.
- Website Maintenance:

- Support the Digital Marketing Manager in maintaining and updating the group's website content, imagery, and functionality.
- Assist with website optimization efforts, including keyword research, on-page SEO, and user experience enhancements.
- Collaborate with web developers and designers to implement website improvements and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
- Reporting and Analysis:

- Compile and analyze digital marketing performance data from various sources, including Google Analytics, social media analytics, and advertising platforms.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations summarizing key metrics, trends, and insights for management review.
- Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement across all digital marketing channels.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Previous experience in digital marketing, social media management, or related role is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles, digital advertising concepts, and content marketing strategies.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for hospitality, travel, and tourism industry is a plus.
