The main purpose of this position is to render professional support to the Group Executive: Currency Management of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) in discharging responsibilities attached to his office.

Detailed Description
- Provide high-level support to the Group Executive: Currency Management in driving execution and delivery across his cluster.
- Assist in managing key relationships for the Office of the Group Executive: Currency Management.
- Collate information from different sources and departments, and review and prepare submissions and documents.
- Ensure that the key actions from various meetings, committees and boards are actioned timeously.
- Conduct financial and business case analysis as required by the Group Executive: Currency Management.
- Review internal policy and strategy performance with regard to the areas of responsibility of the Group Executive: Currency Management.
- Maintain, coordinate and track all invitations extended to the Group Executive: Currency Management to ensure timely responses to requests and to avoid duplication, and update the Group Executive: Currency Management on invitations on a regular basis.
- Provide support to the Group Executive: Currency Management with regard to liaison with departments that report to him and with committees chaired by him.
- Where relevant, participate in meetings with the Group Executive: Currency Management, preparing file notes and coordinating appropriate follow-up actions.
- Conduct research and coordinate input for speech-drafting purposes.
- Perform any other professional ad hoc duties that the Group Executive: Currency Management may reasonably request.

Job Requirements
- be in possession of a postgraduate qualification in Economics, Finance, Commerce, Business or Administration, or an equivalent qualification; and
- have at least eight to ten years’ relevant experience with at least five years in a senior role.

- the ability to communicate and interact professionally at all levels, both internally and externally.
