**Strategic Account Manager **(Industrial Equipment Sales)**
**Location: Lagos, Nigeria**
This is a unique opportunity to join a **global leader of high technology**, industrial capital equipment products**.
One will visit a range of food and beverage and other consumer packaged goods production companies across Nigeria and Ghana Africa to upsell and promote the firms renowned **_coding, printing, and labelling machines._**
Based at home, with **regular site visits**, this richly varied sales role **encompasses account plan development** and **global best practice alignment**, **prospecting via marketing leads and cold calls, attending trade shows**, and the **development of all sales in partnership with an established local distributor**.
**Responsibilities**:
- _Business development and acquisition of new customers._
- _Relationships at all levels up to and including the senior levels of our customers._
- _Ability to prioritise and to work on both long term and short-term projects._
- _Ability to discuss the progress of the forecast and the key projects._
- _Secure and grow revenue within an agreed region._
**Your experience will include**:
- A **proven record in Account Management**, ideally in **Multinational Corporations**, or **has identified** **sales** **opportunities within their role**.
- Ability to **take ownership over a portfolio of customers**.
- Good technical knowledge and either:
- **Sales experience in Industrial Automation / Engineering environments**.
- **Field Service Engineer **or similar, who **understands industrial automation equipment **and used to being **customer facing and is looking to move into sales**.
- **Work in an agile manner both internally and externally**.
- Excellent **attention to detail**.
- **Knowledge of a CRM (Salesforce / SFDC) **is essential.
- **Proficiency in English with strong written and oral communication skills**, an additional language would be preferred.
