**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric plus 3 years post-matric qualification at NQF Level 7 (or equivalent)
- 5 years Administration/Secretarial experience in Higher Education or similar setting
- Evidence of training/working knowledge of ITS systems
- Knowledge of University processes, policies, and systems

**Advantages**:

**Responsibilities include**:

- Management of the office and diary of the Registrar
- Provide an effective interface between the Registrar’ office and all levels of the University community.
- Meetings, event coordination and management including administration of the relevant meetings in the Department (agenda compilation, minutes and reports)
- Office Administration including Secretarial (Personal Assistant)
- Drafts routine and standard notices, circulars etc for the Registrar’s signature and arranges for dissemination of the same.
- Plans and organizes the Registrar’s time, calling for information and subsequent initiation and preparation of occasions set in the diary.
- Prepares the Registrar’s diary annually according to the University Calendar, and in accordance with the Registrar’s specific requirements and internal planning
- Maintains a pending system for follow-up of previous correspondence and passes items to the Registrar, the Executive Operations Manager or the Deputy Registrar’s, as the case may be for follow-up action
- Liaises with all persons reporting to the Registrar’s office for whatever reason (visitors, staff and students) on a wide variety of matters
- Ensures all Council, Management and Senate Committees are always fully constituted
- Managing travel and accommodation logistics for the Registrar.
- Administrative follow up on financial and HR matters of the Department
