**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Produce correspondence and documents and maintain presentations, records, spreadsheets, accounts, etc.
- Identify problems and develop a solution or take the correct course of action.
- Obtaining information, follow-up on delegated assignments, knowing when to act and when to refer matters to management / attorney.
- Generate revenue by documenting and inputting billable time and reimbursable expenses; preparing invoices; tracking payments.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and performs tasks of a confidential nature including producing letters, reports, memorandums, etc.
- Verify, and route correspondence, reports and legal documents, draft letters, and documents.
- Generate property and company reports.
- Liaise with the Department of Transport (the Provincial Regulatory Entity) in all 4 Provinces and obtain information in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act.
- Exercise independent judgement and action in accordance with delegated responsibilities from assigned supervisor.
- Maintain efficient office procedures and a system for keeping track of requested actions and reports.
- Compiling and summarizing data and preparation of reports (financial and matter reports.)
- Dictaphone and copy typing.
- Arranging domestic and international travel.

**Qualifications and skills**:

- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Law firm is beneficial.
- 7 years + Legal Secretarial role.
- Litigation experience.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to organise and prioritise.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to show initiative and to be proactive.
