**Job Requirements**:

- Matric /Grade 12
- 2-year Customs related qualification at NQF level 3
- Computer Literacy
- A minimum of **5 years **import/customs experience in the Clearing and Forwarding Industry of which at least **3 years **in a Customs framing entry capacity (including cross border, bonded cargo clearances)

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting directly to the C&F Supervisor, the responsibilities of the successful applicant will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Lead team members in the co-ordination of movement of cargo / products out of the country in accordance with organizational policy, procedures and legislative requirements.
- Process Customs Clearances (Road / Rail, Sea /Imports / Exports / RIB / RIT) and Ex-bond Entries (XDP / XIB / XE)
- Enable effective management of GLA Road Bond and Acquittals within your team.
- Ensure accuracy of information captured in your teams, within the prescribed timelines
- Perform verification and quality checks (QA) on all customs entries and required documentation received within your team.
- Schedule workload planning for team members and monitor team performance.
- Create a work environment where team members can reach their full
- Keep Principals updated daily and ensure deadlines are
- Liaise with all Service Providers, Principals and Transporters on an ongoing
- Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System and Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensure team functions are as mandated by the Customs Supervisor and / or instruction from relevant managers and regulatory
- Identify/Recognize employee developmental areas and assist with personnel **PDPs**.**:

- Ensure that all processes and procedures are adhered to and assist where

- Tariff Classification and Tariff calculation concepts
- Knowledge of INCO Terms
- Applicable sections of Import and Export Control Act
- Knowledge of all relevant Acts
- Basic International Trade Principles
- International currencies and Country Codes
- Ability to frame Customs Import and Export documents on Shipshape
- Practical Experience of Cross Border Customs Clearance processes a prerequisite
- Critical thinking skills to analyse and diagnose operational requirements relating to customs output;
