**Position Overview**
This position is responsible for ensuring that we have “loyal members for life” by providing outstanding member care on a daily basis. The position works closely with the Sales and Media department to ensure that our members are engaged, participating, receiving and utilizing their membership benefits.
The other critical responsibility of this position is to grow POC revenue by increasing membership sales, ensuring membership renewals, increasing event registrations, and locating potential sponsorship opportunities.
**Job Description**:
We’re looking for a self-motivated Membership and Events Coordinator to help us grow Potomac Officers Club (POC) membership, sponsorship and event attendance. POC is a membership organization dedicated to weaving an executive level fabric for the benefit of the GovCon community. As a member of the Membership Operations Team, the Membership and Events Coordinator is expected to be an innovative thinker with a positive attitude.
They must be able to easily:
- Multi-task and manage a variety of constantly changing logistics
- Work well in a group setting
- Work on an international team
- Thrive under pressure
- Make 50+ phone calls/day
- Comfortably communicate with Sr. level business executives
- Pay attention to details
Essential
**Responsibilities**:
- Accountable for growing Potomac Officers Club membership, sponsorship and event attendance, while also ensuring membership loyalty via the successful coordination and delivery of the POC benefits:
- Successful Potomac Officers Club events
- Media coverage coordination/assurance
- Key communication liaison with POC members
- Maximizing event attendance and increase market awareness
- Identifying potential sponsorship opportunities
- Welcoming new members and providing them with an overview of the program
- Building relationships with current and new members to better understand their unique interests
- Responsible to ensure that all tasks associated with membership are complete
- Membership database administration
- Providing customer service i.e. assisting with event registration, answering questions, etc.
- Work with remote sales support staff to generate research, reports and leads.
- Use LinkedIn as a platform to help grow corporate awareness.
- Accountable for other administrative tasks as required by the business
Education & Experience
- **Excellent English skills are a MUST**
- **Sales experience preferred**
- Event planning experience is a plus
- Communication and other desired skills
- Must be able to comfortably and effectively communicate (verbal and written) with members, their staffs, internal employees
- **Salesforce or other CRM software preferred**
- Excellent time management and organizational skills - able to multitask
- Highly organized with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in a related field is required for this position.
