What will you do?
Under direct supervision, provides key operational/financial for functional groups in an investment banking environment. Responsible for providing the interface support between the back office and the dealers/traders. Support includes performance of a wide variety of specialised operational accounting functions involving compiling and arranging data, making computations, laying out and preparing reports, processing and coding documents and maintaining specialised and comprehensive records and filing. Sets up and prepares statistical reports. Resolves discrepancies and may communicate with a variety of administrative and professional employees within and outside the company. Responsible for operational compliance within the Middle Office. Responsible for ensuring operational compliance on transactions. What will make you successful in this role?
Deal modelling based on legal and other relevant documentation.
Booking of deals/transactions in the product system based on the modelling.
Preparing deal cash flow and executing the pay away process.
Reconciling models to the product system and clearing all reconciling items or issues related to the deals.
Liaising with clients, facility agents, financial institutions, dealmakers, advisors and various stakeholders on deal related information.
Maintaining and monitoring all deal related events and executing accordingly.
Performing daily/monthly reconciliations and clearing all related reconciling items in respect of our international credit business.
Assisting in any regulatory and audit related processes.
Assisting in adhoc projects.
Assist in the key process documentation, where necessary.

Other Competencies
BCom (Hons) or other suitable tertiary qualification
Murex experience will be an advantage
Exposure to local and offshore debt and equity structured finance and derivatives an advantage
Knowledge of financial markets instruments
Understanding of the valuation of financial instruments
Financial modelling skills/sound numerical skills
Ability to read and understand contracts, opinions and applicable legislation relevant to the business units
**Computer literacy**: MS Word and Excel (Advanced level)
Attention to detail and organised approach
Ability to operate and think independently
Ability to perform under pressure
Responsive
Accessible
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Team oriented

Qualification and Experience Diploma or Degree with 3 to 5 years related experience.
