**Job Description**:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team in South Africa. As a Commercial Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial and commercial aspects of our construction projects. You will be responsible for managing budgets, contracts, procurement, and ensuring profitability while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategies to maximize profitability and mitigate risks across all projects.

2. Budget Management: Prepare, monitor, and manage project budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial objectives.

3. Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead contract negotiations with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to secure favorable terms and conditions. Manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and minimizing disputes.

4. Procurement: Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing, tendering, and vendor selection. Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.

5. Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct financial analysis and prepare regular reports on project performance, budget variance, and forecasted costs. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests. Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle and take proactive measures to address issues as they arise.

7. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders. Act as a primary point of contact for commercial inquiries and issue resolution.

8. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the commercial team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Construction Management, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CIMA) preferred.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or similar role within the construction industry, with a track record of successfully managing large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of commercial principles, contract law, and procurement practices.
- Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex data and financial statements.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid leadership abilities with a focus on team collaboration, motivation, and development.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of South African construction regulations and industry standards is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
