We have an exciting position for a **Time & Attendance Assistant (6 months FTE contract)**to Assist and execute time and attendance-related activities to ensure a successful payroll run.

**Job Description**:

- As Time & Attendance Assistant (6 months FTE contract) you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Safety and Health
- Demonstrates behaviour in line with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Demonstrates behaviour aligned with the Group’s values, standards, and a professional workplace.
- Participate effectively in collaborating with your leader, peers, and relevant others (including from other teams where applicable) to achieve business goals.
- Active participation in SLAMs, HPHs, relevant Risk Assessments and close-out of Safety Actions.
- Performance and Delivery
- Time & Attendance Support:

- Offer support to Payroll Officers by correcting time-related errors and monitoring the percentage of uncleared messages before payroll closure.
- Process relevant documents promptly and accurately, following Kumba policies and procedures.
- Ensure a successful time-evaluation run for Kolomela employees to facilitate accurate quota updates, deductions, and payments.
- Compile and generate time and attendance reports; identify deviations and notify the respective supervisors.
- Conduct internal audits on time and attendance, focusing on overtime, unpaid leave, late arrivals, etc.
- Advise employees on time-related matters, such as maternity leave and sick leave.
- Assist team members and supervisors within your area of competence as needed.
- Respond to employee requests for individual timekeeping reports and provide detailed documentation for necessary corrections.
- Maintain supportive partnerships with management and P&O-embedded team members; exhibit open communication and timely customer service to assist with workflows, exceptions, approvals, and other concerns regarding time and attendance.
- Alert designated management to potential timekeeping issues involving employees or management.
- Ensure that relevant management reviews and approves all hours before capturing deadlines.
- Resolve time-related payroll discrepancies by collecting and analysing information and implementing necessary changes.
- Provide time-related payroll information to supervisors, employees, and other authorised personnel.
- Train relevant stakeholders on time and attendance procedures and systems.
- Maintain up-to-date training materials and toolbox talks within the time and attendance environment.
- Log and test system changes or improvements in time and attendance processes and systems.
- Provide general office and customer service support, including in-person, via phone, or Teams, and attend required meetings.
- Compliance Responsibilities:

- Uphold compliance standards concerning external legislative, regulatory, and permitting requirements within your work area.
- Adhere to Anglo American compliance requirements and ensure the team complies within your work area.
- Adhere to team compliance governance by using systems to monitor compliance and report any non-compliance.
- Participate in audits and attend close-out meetings for audit findings within your discipline and support audits.Implement required actions as instructed.

**This role is in the People & Organisation (P&O) at a Band A5 level reporting to the Time & Attendance Analyst.**

**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12
- Payroll / HR/ related certificate (advantageous)
- SA Drivers Licence: Code B (Light vehicle)

**Experience**
- Knowledge of time and attendance administration practices, focusing on the mining industry, preferably with 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Excel, and familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with SAP systems is essential.
- Comprehension of the fundamental concepts, processes, policies, and reward procedures at Anglo American
