- Thorough knowledge of all procedures related to Exports (Dry and Reefer Cargo)
- Computer literacy - MS Office, Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Excellent knowledge of Customer service/relationship skills.
- Compile final Pml files for Company operated vessels within 72hrs of vessel sailing
- Check correctness of all manifests prior to submitting
- Ensure manifest are submitted various POD within the call closure deadlines and entire vessel is closed within 7 days of sailing
- Ensure all deadlines are met, call closure, China manifest submission
- Ensure export staff submit manifests/cargo dues to NPA/Customs within 3 days of vessel sailing
- Ensure staff answer to mini freight reports
- Monitor all reefer cargoes, temp, vent, consec
- Assign vessels and work loads to controllers on a weekly basis
- Audit final vessels files and ensure customs /npa manifests submitted.
- Handle own vessels as export controller and assist export controllers as and where necessary, including invoicing, SOB, capturing bill, Reefer/DG/OOG manifest, stack dates, CTO's etc
- Compiling generic customer code report and ensure controller update Internal System
- Ensure that no fines/penalties are incurred
- Resolve and reply to Freight report and Proforma reports on a weekly basis
- Keeping abreast of new procedures and ensuring the Company complies with same, implement new procedures or developments if necessary
- Ensure bills signed for release comply with procedures and are correct
- Check all booking lists for correct port routing and ensure same is done prior to controllers stamping of CTO's
- Cross check Navis booking list against internal system booking list and ensure all in order
- Ensure shippers received SOB and invoices timeously and customer service level are of a high standard
- Ensure sufficient stock for bills of lading at all times if not order from Head Office (overseas).
- Check and sign off DG Manifests prior submission to ops
- Check and sign off Reefer Manifests prior to submission to ops
- Check and sign off OOG Manifests prior to submission to ops
- Export demurrage report, weekly updates
- Local system uninvoiced report updated on weekly basis.
