**A 5* Hotel seeks a Meetings & Events Co-Ordinator.**
**Responsibilities**:
- To maximise guest satisfaction and hotel profitability by coordinating meeting & events functions, and report all sales statistics to the Reservations Manager
- Ensure all sales opportunities and future leads are followed through to fulfil budgeted targets
- Actively promote and sell the facilities through client show rounds and familiarization events
- He/she prepares offers & contracts according to hotels M&E standards and ensure received signed prior to commencement of booking
- Works in cooperation with operations team to ensure highest quality standards are maintained
- Respond to all enquiries in a timely manner
- Maintain up to date knowledge on sales strategies, rates, products, packages, facilities and inventory at all times
- Conducting of walk-in site inspections, with the guidance of the M&E Team
- Managing of bookings of 8 or more for the Restaurant
- Recording and booking management of the Restaurant bookings in EMMA
- Create, Manage and distribute function sheets for the Restaurant
**Requirements**:
- Ability to use EMMA, MS Word and Excel skills is essential
- Previous experience in a similar role in a 4/5 star hotel will be an advantage
- Must be honest and trustworthy
- Ability to use initiative and work in a pressurized environment
- Highly motivated individual and an excellent team player
- Impeccable attendance and clear disciplinary record in the past 12 months
- Must have excellent guest liaison skills and a can do attitude
