**CAREER OPPORTUNITY - FRANSCHHOEK ENVIRONMENT**
**HOSPITALITY MANAGER**
Our client, a well-known and established wine and herbs estate located in Franschhoek, has a vacant position for a **HOSPITALITY MANAGER**.
The estate produces well-known wines and herbs and has an upmarket restaurant and tasting room where the wines and farm produce can be enjoyed. The estate is also renowned for its facilities and gardens which are open for events such as weddings, year-end functions, lunches and picnics. The estate also provides several upmarket holiday cottages.
**Minimum Job Requirements and skills**:
- Qualification in Hospitality management / Project management or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- A proven track record as an experienced Hospitality Manager.
- A minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience.
- Excellent communication (fluent in English & Afrikaans) and negotiation skills.
- Computer literacy MS Office.
- Excellent classic cuisine & wine knowledge.
- A customer service driven individual.
- Experience in upmarket / fine dining Hospitality service.
- Attention to detail, problem solving, creative and innovative.
- Good leadership skills.
**Other & Person Specification**:
- Reside in close proximity to Franschhoek, beneficial.
- Effective verbal, written and listening communications skills.
- Professional personal appearance and work conduct.
- Customer understanding - needs and desires.
**Key Responsibilities, but not limited to**:
- Oversee and manage the bookings of the accommodation, kitchen, and restaurant.
- Do costings of the portfolio and liaise with Senior Management to obtain approval for budgets and financial management practices.
- Oversee and manage all the hospitality resources which includes the equipment, facilities, and staff.
- Planning, organizing, and managing the daily operations of the hospitality staff to ensure efficiency.
- Supervising staff members and communicating the importance of customer satisfaction.
- Checking the quantity and quality of supplies and equipment on a daily basis, such as guest amenities.
- Maintaining a high standard of customer service according to company operating procedures.
- Attending to any complaints logged by guests in a professional and timely manner.
- Performing monthly evaluations of staff members according to performance and participation.
- Preparing the monthly budget of the hospitality division and creating expenditure reports for senior management review.
- Working with the human resources department to recruit and train new personnel.
- Determining the future goals of the hospitality division by studying market trends and working with the marketing team.
**Starting Date: Immediately / As soon as possible.**
