HR / Ir Officer

**Requirements & Qualifications**
- Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent,
- 5 years of experience working in HR or equivalent experience
- Freight Industry experience.
- VIP Payroll experience essential.
- Experience with time and attendance software (SDM and/or ERS).
- Familiarity with bargaining councils and unions.
- A basic understanding of relevant legislator.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills (Proficient in English & Afrikaans).
- Fully computer literate.
**Responsibilities**
**IR (Industrial Relations)**
- Stay updated with new development and best practices
- Drive the Grievance procedure
- Action Warnings (VWWWFWW)
- Manage absenteeism before and after public holiday and on Mondays and Fridays.
- Liaise with the NBC regarding conciliation/Arbitration
- Handle CCMA cases
- Investigate new complaints and checking on going cases
- Arranging and attending meetings with employees, unions
- Mediating discussions between parties and propose solutions for any disputes
- Investigate employee matters such as disciplinary action, suspensions and terminations of contracts
**Employment Equity/BBBEE**
- Compiling documentation for EE and BBBEE submissions
- Sound knowledge of legislative requirements
**Recruitment and selection**
- Arranging interviews
- Reference and Crim checks
- Induction
**Health and safety**
- Record keeping
- Responsible for legislative compliance
- Conducting health and safety audits
**General**
- Record keeping/ filing
- Wage queries
- General administration and implementation of HR related matters
