**JOB REQUIREMENTS**

**Minimum Required Qualification**
- A degree qualification
- An Honours degree will be an advantage

**Minimum Required Experience**
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Knowledge of Immigration Legislation pertaining to studying in South Africa
- Knowledge of HESA and SAQA regulations for international students including

SADC Protocol on Education and Training
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good interpersonal relations skills
- Ability to problem solve and work independently
- Ability to compile reports and analyse data
- Research skills

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Developing relevant strategies for student management
- Contributing to student registration process
- Keeping abreast of new developments in international students study legislation
- Ensuring that the university complies with immigration legislation requirements
- Assisting the university to meet enrolment target of international students and

keeping abreast of international recruitment trends
- Compiling reports to DHA and for internal stakeholders
- Conducting research to inform strategy and policies for internationalisation
- Representing the International Affairs Office in relevant committees and/or task

teams
