Head of Human Resource

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Head of HR at IconAF is **responsible for,** reporting on all HR functions of the business. **Leading the transformation and embedding of organisational culture. **This individual is expected to champion the company’s values through strong leadership and inspirational behaviour**.**

**Responsibilities & Duties**

The responsibility of the Head of HR is not exhaustive and may change from time to time as decided by Management.

**People Responsibility**:

- Lead and inspire HR personnel
- Design and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and promote
growth.
- Support employee development, and enhance job satisfaction
- Design onboarding procedures for the different business units
- Handle employee benefits
- Managing staff wellness and performance reviews
- Improve Morale and employee retention
- Handling employee grievances
- Administer and oversee the administration of employee leave, disciplinary matters,
disputes, and investigations.

**Business Responsibility**:

- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations that govern the industry
- Identifying staffing needs and creating jobs descriptions
- Liaising with managers to identify HR gaps and formulate strategies to bridge the gaps.
- Design an accountability mechanism
- Drive a high-performance culture by ensuring all professionals and leaders have relevant, clear KPI’s that aligns directly with the company’s business imperatives.
- Work with the marketing team to develop a sound internal communications plan and provide input into employee newsletters, surveys, and events.
- Ensure all HR projects are managed effectively and driven with commitment while monitoring the achievement of the desired outcomes.
- Oversee Remuneration and Benefits benchmarking and formulate a plan
- Oversee payroll budgeting (including strategic and operational workforce planning) and annual salary, incentive, and benefit reviews.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant HR related legislation and guide the business on any legislative changes.
- Adhere to admin deadlines in submitting documents and reports:

- Performance Management documents
- Performance report Tracker per department
- Resource Management
- Warnings and hearing tracker
- Suspension and dismissal trackers
- Attendance reports etc.

**Key Performance Measures**:
1. Various HR reports

2. Meeting timelines on report submissions

3. Maintaining employee records

4. Contributions to employee wellness and meeting business objective

5. Personnel management (absenteeism, late coming, managing staff issues)

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of labour regulations and HR practices
- Experience in handling employee grievances
- Experience in dealing with Unions, CCMA, Labour Court and the Department of labour.
- Sound experience in leading Human Resource system automation projects.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in MS Office (esp. Powerpoint and Excel);
- Good problem-solving skills
- Prior knowledge of different HR software is an advantage
- Sound experience in process development.
- Strong experience in business writing and data reporting.
- Organizational and time management abilities
- Budget management experience
- Critical thinking and decision making
- Strong Leadership abilities;
- Ability to meet business timelines and handle pressure
