Talent & Employee Engagement Specialist

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTPUTS:
- A focus on cultivating a strong talent pipeline and positioning the business as an employer of choice.
- Provide feedback and coaching to management, and monitoring the “pulse” of the organization, to quickly identify and troubleshoot problems and recommend appropriate solutions in line with employee engagement.
- In collaboration with the Rem and Ben Specialist, ensures Belgotex offers competitive market related packages during the offer process through the use of benchmarking and research.
- Works collaboratively with the organization, leadership team and HR team to develop a healthy talent pipeline for the organization.
- In collaboration with the L&D Specialist leads the implementation of all leadership development initiatives, policies and procedures which includes but is not limited to: succession planning, leadership selection and assessment and leadership development planning
- Acts as a project manager for the successful implementation of the annual employee engagement plan.
- Actively engages, coaches, and educates leaders and HR with regards to team effectiveness/team building programs, and observations/feedback on team effectiveness.
- Builds, coaches, and facilitates team discussions/meaningful engagements through the effective use of tools, team building activities, development activities and supporting the leaders in creating an engaged environment.
- Research best practise for recruitment, talent sourcing and talent management; through appropriately aligned initiatives for the business.
- Advocates for practices that improve team effectiveness, systems thinking, personal mastery, employee engagement and continuous improvement.
- Champions and applies the competency-based framework for the business through the seamless integration into talent management touchpoints.
- Works with the organization’s leaders to develop organizational strategies that improve company culture by implementing appropriately aligned values-driven initiatives that support the company’s vision and mission.
- Planning and developing change management plans, post-survey analysis and action plans (i.e develops and conducts organisational surveys).
- Responsible for designing and implementing the talent management and recruitment strategy for the business.
- Manages the full recruitment life-cycle process for the business, by supporting of the Talent and OD Team to administer the recruitment and selection process and achieve the overall KPA’s for talent.
- Support the Talent and OD Team to deliver on the employee engagement initiatives, projects and strategy for the business.
- To manage and track the Talent and EE budget/spend in line with budgeting processes and requirements.
- Responsible for measuring ROI and ROE (impact) of employee engagement and recruitment KPA’s.
- Keeps up to date with the latest research, case studies, developments and trends within organizational development, employee engagement and talent management.
- Develop and implement creative DEI and employee engagement strategies and programs for the business.
- In collaboration with the L&D Specialist research, design, propose and implement a framework for talent risk radars, performance management and succession planning for the business.
- In collaboration with the L&D Team administer, manage and measure the effectiveness of the Belgotex probationary review process.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Talent Officer/OD/Supervisory role/level.
- Previous experience working on and implementing an Applicant Tracking System.
- Experience using Sage People 300.
- Proficient in MS Office packages
- Experience facilitating crucial conversations/coaching on the job.
- Experience liaising with all levels in an organization up to Executive Level.
- Experience in facilitating focus groups, conducting surveys and implementing employee engagement initiatives.
- A good understanding of organizational development, organizational design and employee engagement principals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (both oral and written)
- Passion for diversity, talent development, and team development/building.
- Previous experience with employment equity compliance and strategic DEI driven initiatives.
