**Main purpose of role**:
The social media and content manager will be responsible for implementing the strategy and management of social networks for Trace Southern Africa (content plans, action plans, guidelines, tools, etc.) and Trace+ Shorts content following the Global & Local Editorial, Media, and Social Media Strategy (Digital, TV, Ads).

**Responsibilities**:
Strategy
Develop and execute a content strategy on social networks to promote Trace, its services, and its programs (original content + channel strategy).
Ensure consistency of editorial strategy across different platforms.
Conceptualise and implement a content development strategy for Trace+ Shorts targeting the South African local audiences and Diasporas.
Monitor and ensure the quality of the brand's e-reputation on social networks.
Participate in recommendations for activations/campaigns to support the sales teams.
Editorial, content creation and management
Manage and animate the various Trace communities (Facebook/Instagram/TikTok/YouTube/X/Threads, etc.).
Create short videos covering lifestyle news from the local market for Trace+ Shorts.
Create original digital formats with the help of production teams.
Curate content.
Cover live events (concerts, festivals, listening parties, interviews, behind-the-scenes, etc.) and capture original content for the cluster’s pages.
Manage the editorial calendar & coordinate special operations related to his/her channel.
Collaborate with the media programming team, marketing and sales team, and event and production team to identify cross-promotion opportunities, special operations, and partnerships with other brands and influencers to expand Trace's audience and reach in the local market and Diaspora.
Monitoring and benchmarking
Constantly monitor digital trends, entertainment news, viral trends and challenges, and current topics, along with a proactive approach to proposals.
Manage potential online reputation issues and proactively handle crises to protect the brand and maintain a positive image on social networks.
Analyse and reporting
Monitor and analyse content performances on social networks to assess results, draw lessons, and continuously improve the content strategy, all in a condensed monthly report.
Develop ad hoc reports with KPIs (campaigns, advertisers, special operations, etc.).
Regular recommendations on strategy, content, engagement, sponsorship, and monetization.
Camapign management + Ads.
Follow-up on local/group campaigns targeting his/her pages.
Regularly update the cluster digital rate card for social media with the support of the marketing and sales team
Schedule posts dealt in the context of Sales OPS and Music Business campaigns.

**Requirements**:
A genuine interest in digital video content watched across different platforms.
A deep understanding of your region's audio-visual landscape (traditional and digital).
**Content creation skills**: the ability to create/brief original and engaging content (videos, stories, images, etc.) suitable for different social media platforms / Trace+ Shorts and capable of producing visually appealing, high-quality content.
Affinity and deep knowledge of country/region cultures.
Perfect command of spelling (English).
Curiosity, creativity, reactivity, diligence, autonomy, and a proactive attitude.
Awareness of current news and trends.
Analytical skills and the ability to perceive new trends.
**Proficiency in Video Creation Tools**: Capcut, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.
**Proficiency in Graphic Creation Tools**: Photoshop, Canva, etc.
**Proficiency in social network management tools**: Business Manager, Creator Studio, Agorapulse, etc.
**Creativity**: Ability to generate innovative ideas and content that engage and resonate with the target audience.
**Communication**: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey messages across various social media platforms and content formats.
**Adaptability**: Flexibility to adapt to changing trends, algorithms, and audience preferences in the dynamic landscape of social media.
**Collaboration**: Capacity to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including designers, copywriters, and marketing professionals, to create cohesive campaigns and content.
**Time management**: Skill in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritising tasks, and optimizing workflow efficiency.
**Analytical thinking**: Ability to analyse social media metrics and data to evaluate campaign performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
**Problem solving**: Aptitude for troubleshooting issues, resolving conflicts, and finding solutions to challenges that arise in social media and content management.
**Attention to detail**: Precision in maintaining brand consistency, adhering to style guidelines, and ensuring accuracy in content creation and posting.
