**Role Purpose**
The Head: People and Culture will provide high quality leadership and oversight on the development and delivery of NOA’s People
strategy and adopt a primary role of being a strategic business partner to the Executive team. Guide, implement and manage the
overall provision of HR services, policies, and programmes to the business by developing and executing the overall People & Culture
strategy, plans, initiatives and associated policies with a view to acquire and retain key talent, ensure a healthy workforce, establish
an inclusive and high performing culture and offer customer service excellence. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the
purchase of external Human Resource services that best meet the needs of the business.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Industrial Psychology or related fields
**Experience**:
- 8-10 years’ broad experience and a deep understanding of human capital policies and processes
and how these can enable business performance.
- Experience of working in the Energy industry. Significant and proven experience of leading and managing HR functions
- Track record in developing and delivering HR/people strategy.
- Strong understanding of fundamental payroll processes, employment law and best practice in
recruitment, people data management and reporting and employee relations.
- Experience acting as a Business Partner and Adviser to HR Managers and/or senior staff.
- Proven experience of building and maintaining relationships at a senior level resulting in securing
new opportunities to influence change.
Knowledge & Skills: - Computer Literacy (MS Office suite)
- Knowledge of the energy industry
**Responsibilities**
Ensures the Human Resources strategy is developed, approved and implemented in line
with business strategy.
- Monitors the implementation of the People plan and evaluates and reviews as necessary.
- Develops policies based on the strategy and submits to role players for input, finalises for
adoption in terms of company procedures, and manages the implementation in terms of
the auditing processes.
- Continuously advises EXCO and Senior Leaders regarding the Human Resource strategy.
Team leadership - Lead a team of specialists responsible for the day-to-day delivery of HR services and risk
functions, and further develop an effective business partnership model that is responsive
and agile, and meeting expectations of internal stakeholders.
- Promote the professional development of the team and facilitate ongoing performance
management including, but not limited to; objective setting, identifying learning and
development needs, coaching, and welfare.
- Support cross-organisational working practices that ensure the HR team influences, and is
influenced by organisational discussions, lessons and decisions.
Purchase of Human Resources
Services
- Analysis and determines Human Resources services which cannot be provided by internally
by business or would be better provided by external vendors.
- Determines, engages and sources the most suitable vendors to provide HR services that
meet the needs of the business.
- Manages and monitors the services (including SLAs) provided by vendors to ensure
effective, efficient and value-adding performance.
- Addresses instances of under or non-performance of service providers.
Organisational Design & Strategic Workforce Planning
- Ensures the establishment of NOA’s fit-for purpose organisational structure and capability
map.
- Co-creates job descriptions with business leaders and ensures all jobs are evaluated
through the relevant evaluation partners.
- Creates NOA’s strategic workforce plans to support the talent acquisition strategy.
