Durban, South Africa Effective Sales and Merchandising Full time

An exciting position has become available for a Sales Rep in the Wholesale Industry.

The Wholesale Sales Representatives will sell merchandise to businesses and other organizations. Some of the duties include educating customers about products, negotiating prices, and preparing sales contracts.

We are looking for an individual with at least 3-5 years’ experience in selling in the Wholesale Industry with the emphases on being able to increase sales and distribution of new and existing products from our current and/ or future principles.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Matric.
- 3-5 Years’ sales experience in the wholesale industry.
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license essential
- Experience in the FMCG sales environment.
- Proven track record of delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Experienced liaising with 3rd party logistics partners.
- Effective people management and leadership skills.

**Your core function includes, but not limited to**:

- Promote / sell / secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
- Introducing new products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting the products best suited to their needs.
- Increasing sales and distribution of new and existing products.
- Performing sales activities on major accounts and negotiating sales prices and discounts in consultation with relevant FSM.
- Ensuring that all purchase orders, signed for at buying groups, are correctly priced and all prices quoted at independent customers are as per your mandate.
- Controlling and managing of in-store merchandisers to effectively meet the merchandising standards set by each individual principal that the company represents.
- Conducting a floor walk with the store merchandiser on every call.
- Striving to achieve incremental forward share at home shelf.
- Ensuring that all relevant information is communicated to sales support on all orders.
- Taking total responsibility for the functions of distribution, merchandising, administration, communications, training, and operations within assigned area.
- Achieving sales targets.
- Conducting weekly trade visits and meetings with FSM.
- Managing stock rotation with your stores & merchandisers
- Leading by example.
- Including various other day to day tasks to ensure the smooth running of the business.
