**Key performance areas**:

- Provide strategic leadership and management in the division by developing and implementing operation plans and the budget
- Contribute to the development of the strategic, annual performance plans and reports
- Develop and implement the finance strategy in support of the organizations strategy
- Contribute to the development of relevant legislations
- Oversee the development of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and business processes relevant to the finance division
- Overall management of the Finance division
- Oversee the management of the Supply Chain Management (Including Asset Management) and Finance Department (Revenue, Management Accounting and Financial accounting)
- Manage the risk of the areas of responsibility with the organization
- Provide expert advice and reports in the area of Finance to Management, Council and its Committees
- Ensure compliance to legislations, policies and SOP’s
- Provide technical support to the organization in driving transformation and change management initiatives
- Manager Governance, Accountability and reporting for areas of responsibility
- Develop and recommended policies to ensure adequate performance management development and provide for capable management succession
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as delegated by the line manager / supervisor
- Manage resources (human, financial, physical and information)

- Corporate governance (e.g.: Companies Act, King IV report and Code etc.)
- Leadership and management principles, performance management and development, monitoring and coaching
- Delegation of authority framework
- Contracting, negotiating, and change and diversity management
- Changes and/or developments in law, and organizational policies and procedures
- Project management
- Producing Council/Board and committees reports
- Managing diverse teams and stakeholder management
- Development of business processes, policies and procedural guidelines
- Understanding of the legislative and regulatory environment governing the financial management services division and statutory councils

**Minimum requirements**:

- Matric
- Bachelor of Commerce with Honours in Finance
- Strictly CA(SA)
- Valid membership of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA).
- Registration with a minimum of one of the relevant professional bodies
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in a Finance environment 5 years of which must be in a Senior Management in Finance and Supply Chain Management (Post Articles).
- Experience in managing a budget of a minimum of about R100 million.
- Valid driver’s license.
