**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Manage the reception area in the Dean’s office.
- Refer students and visitors to the appropriate person/department.
- Assist with faculty registration and progression processes.
- Assist students with curriculum advice (in collaboration with the Teaching & Learning and Faculty Managers).
- Assist students with time-tabling enquiries.
- Assist with faculty marketing events and activities.
- Capture comments on student records.
- Assist with research-related activities.
- Manage faculty proxy mailboxes.
- Communicate with students, the public and UFS staff members.

**Inherent requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in NQF Level 7 from the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences.

**Recommendations**:

- Postgraduate contact sessions should be after working hours.
- Sound academic record (attach a copy).
- An Honours degree on NQF Level 8 or master’s degree on NQF Level 9 from the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences (attach a copy)
- Registered for an Honours, Master’s, or PhD qualification in the Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences for 2025 (attach proof of registration).
- The applicant should not currently be participating in an existing learnership/internship programme.
- The applicant should not have any previous formal work experience.
- The applicant must be willing to sign a learnership/internship agreement with UFS.
- The applicant must be available for the period of 1 year to participate in the learnership/internship.
