Our client, a mid-sized direct sales company and a well-established household name has been proudly contributing to South Africa for over 50 years. An opportunity has become vacant for a Collections Agent in their Support Centre in Century City whereby you will report directly to the Collections Manager. The role will suit a proactive go getter who is eager to hit the ground running.

**Purpose of the Position**

In essence the purpose of this role is to minimise bad debt. The role will require you to contact customers for the collection of outstanding debt and liaise with Attorney Collection Agents. This will also include the processing and monitoring of accounts under Debt Review.

**Key requirements include**:

- Matric
- 2 to 3 Years working experience, preferably in the tracing and collections environment which includes telephone and debt collections.
- Experience and exposure to working with Debt Collect Agents collecting debt on behalf of a company is an advantage.
- Knowledge on data held by Credit Bureaus and knowledge of the POPI Act is ideal.
- Not disqualified in terms of s46 of the NCA (not convicted of fraud or insolvent)
- Computer literacy in Google Suite / Microsoft office
- An additional South African language other than English and Afrikaans would be advantageous.

The role requires an individual with good verbal and written communication in English & a professional telephone manner as well as sound interpersonal skills. You should have a strong sense of ethics, honesty and integrity and take initiative and responsibility for work tasks. Your ability to follow instructions, be assertive & resilient as well as friendly and open to learning will be a distinct advantage.

This role is **available for hybrid working** once trained on internal systems and procedures.

Salary range advertised is a Cost to Company range.

**Salary**: R14,000.00 - R19,000.00 per month

- High School (matric) (required)

**Experience**:
