**Main purpose of the job**
- To provide support to the Product Owner team with delivering software products to the business while occasionally initiating and owning small to medium sized projects of your own.
- You will be working within a dynamic product management team, where you will assist the Product Owners with defining and communicating a vision for the product and then assist with documenting functional requirements. Together with the Product Owner, you will be the custodian for these requirements with the development team, until they are successfully released to production.
- Not only is this role within the software development realm, but you will also be responsible for the ownership of critical production system configurations for Mweb.

**Job output**

**Business Analysis**
- Assist with elicitation workshops with users of the system and other key stakeholders.
- Occasionally lead the above workshops for small to medium sized projects of your own.
- Understand the Mweb operational environment to fully understand the business processes and challenges.
- Identify opportunities for automation and improvement.
- Assist with compiling business requirement documents which detail the stakeholder expectations, the business problem being addressed as well as functional and nonfunctional requirements which the stakeholders desire.

**Project management**
- Assist with the compilation of project plans.
- Assist with the compilation of information radiators which show detailed project progress. Distribute these communiques to all relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with clearing obstacles which prevents the development teams from achieving their goals.
- Co-ordinate tasks not directly related to software development to meet the project goals.
- Set clear goals for the development team to achieve.
- Occasionally initiate and own small to medium sized projects of your own.

**Configuration**
- Manage routine system configuration requests from departments within PSM such as Sales Managers, Marketing Managers, Product Managers and Product Owners.
- This must include the following:

- Product management
- Promotional code and discount management
- Communication template management
- Manage automated bulk product changes while ensuring no negative impact to customer billing or user experience.
- Assist the Product Owners with system configuration for new product development.
- Conduct routine system configuration audits and distribute the results to stakeholders.
- Provide general system support to Marketing, Sales and Product departments.

**Qualifications**
- Tertiary qualification. Degree preferable.
- Certified Product Owner or related Agile qualification advantageous.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2 years business analysis experience in a software environment.
- Experience in managing software projects.
- Understanding of the fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.
- Experience in working with technology or software-based products. business system.
- At least 2 years experience with Mweb business system. This must include configuration experience including product, promotion, communications, and inventory management modules of the Mweb business system.
- Proven experience in the management and overall ownership of critical production configurations and data.
- Proven experience in data management and configuration of content management systems which enable websites and self-administration portals.
- Proven experience with customer and data migration projects.
- Advanced understanding of ERP business systems, particularly the configuration management aspects thereof, will be highly advantageous.
