**Role purpose**

The Senior Manager: Product Development plays a critical leadership role in driving the strategic vision and execution of product initiatives within the organisation. This role involves overseeing a team of Product Owners, ensuring the successful development, delivery, and continuous improvement of products that align with business goals and customer needs.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Leadership and strategy**
- Develop and communicate a clear product strategy aligned with the company’s overall objectives.
- Lead and mentor a team of Product Owners, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with product management best practices.
- Drive collaboration between cross-functional teams including operations, technology, change and client relationship managers.
- **Product planning and execution**
- Oversee the development and prioritisation of product roadmaps and backlogs.
- Ensure Product Owners effectively translate business requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Monitor progress of product initiatives, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met in collaboration with the PMO.
- **Stakeholder management**
- Act as the primary liaison between product teams and executive leadership.
- Facilitate stakeholder alignment and manage expectations on product delivery and performance.
- Promote a customer-centric approach by ensuring regular feedback loops and data-driven decision-making
- **Performance and Continuous Improvement**
- Implement product development metrics and KPIs to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement in product management methodologies and tools.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to ensure the organisation remains competitive.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Product Management, Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.

**Experience**:

- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in product management or development within a corporate environment.
- At least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record in successfully delivering complex product initiatives on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in product management tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends and competitive landscape.
