**YOUR ROLE**

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounting and Procurement Analyst to join our finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis and procurement processes.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**

As a Junior Accounting and Procurement Analyst, your role will be pivotal in supporting the financial and procurement operations of our organization. Your primary responsibilities will include:
**1. Accounting Support**:

- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial statements.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide input for cost control and process improvement initiatives.
- Help prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Accurately record financial transactions in accounting software.
- Capture and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivables
- Reconcile bank statements and credit cards
- Upload into system and file supporting documents in their correct folders
- Prepare draft invoices for projects
- **2. Contract and Procurement Assistance**:_
- Handle contract distribution, ensure timely signing, gather compliance information, and organize all documents in SharePoint.
- Create and update cost codes for new projects, manage payment schedules, coordinate billing and invoicing, and analyze project profitability.
- Assist in obtaining competitive quotes, manage RFP processes, analyze procurement data for vendor selection, handle subcontract execution, oversee vendor setup in accounting systems, review invoices, ensure compliance, monitor supplier performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and assist in contract negotiations and renewal.
- **3. Logistics and Facilities Support**_
- Administer company travel program, audit expense reports, obtain third-party service quotes, and identify cost-saving opportunities in compliance with policy.
- Supervise facilities contractors, manage all Johannesburg office facilities issues including compliance, on behalf of the finance department.

**4. Data Management**:

- Maintain accurate financial, procurement and other databases.
- Organize and file financial and procurement-related documents.
- Assist in data validation and reconciliation tasks.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and standards, audit requirements and company policies

**5. Reporting and Communication**:

- Generate routine financial, procurement and ad hoc reports.
- Communicate financial and procurement insights to relevant teams.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.

**6. Ad Hoc Tasks**:

- Support ad hoc accounting and procurement projects and tasks as directed by supervisors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various initiatives.

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar field
- 1 to 4 years experience in similar role
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
- Proficiency in accounting software/tools.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to a dynamic workplace.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative analysis

**ROLE TYPE**

This position will be a full-time permanent position, based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

**REMOTE WORKING**

None. This position is required to work in the company’s office in Rosebank.

**COMPENSATION**

Market-related with a generous benefits program.

Pay: R16 276,42 - R25 000,00 per month
