**PURPOSE OF ROLE**

To build the Lesedi brand by creating, implementing, and maintaining an organisational marketing strategy; thereby positioning **Lesedi** as the **Company of Choice** in the Power Generation Industry and other industrial markets as defined and to market the activities of the organization both internally and externally.

**QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- B.Sc. Marketing **OR** ND Marketing **OR** any equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as a marketing and communication co-ordinator/ manager/ officer with hands on experience,
- Experience in the Energy sector

**KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS**
- Design and document the marketing plan in line with marketing strategy derived from the business strategy.
- Manage the Marketing and CSI Budget.
- Design and re-inforce marketing templates (internal/external).
- Manage communications strategy both internal and external for Lesedi (including management of Public Relations Agency).
- Manage all marketing suppliers (Designs, Printing, Corporate gifts, etc.
- Arrange marketing and communication events: conferences, breakaways, seminars etc.
- Manage the Production of the Lesedi Newsletter (co-ordinate all stories in the best interest of the organisation as it will be distributed both internally and externally).
- Manage updates to the website.
- Ensure that the head office projects the correct corporate image and other bases have visible branding.
- Manage sponsorships and identify partnership opportunities.
- Acquire media exposure for CSI projects ( measures e.g. 1 newspaper article per quarter etc).
- Create digital communications campaigns across owned, shared, and paid media.
- Develop and implement SEO strategies to drive organic search growth and increase website traffic and revenue.
- Google Analytics to draw insights and make recommendations for the improvement of editorial output and its activation.
- Produce or give support to internal customer surveys relating to improving the culture of the organisation (according to scope and frequency set out in the annual marketing plan).
- Compile reports to track progress and guide business to make informed decisions.

**Technical**:

- Knowledge of marketing environment (economic/ political/ social).
- knowledge of market research techniques appropriate to Lesedi NS to develop and implement the marketing strategy.
- Knowledge of the market in which the company operates.
- Knowledge of Business Strategy decisions and their marketing implications.
- Knowledge of current Business Development initiatives and tenders.
- Know how to develop and document a marketing strategy.
- Knowledge of the marketing mix and its implications regarding positioning.
- Knowledge of software Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and Canva (Added bonus).
- How to use Public Relations and Advertising as an effective marketing activity.
- Knowledge of B2B marketing dynamics and implications.
- Planning & Coordination CSI opportunities for positively positioning the organisation.
- Know how to position the company to be Market Orientated: Relationship management, target client (or key personnel) precisely, manage organizational culture with strategy.
- Internal branding activities (positive effect on employees) such as workshops, team building, industry/motivational talks.
