As a Sales Manager, you directly receive meaningful responsibilities from day one. You are in charge of maintaining and expanding long-term business partnerships by continuously identifying and proposing solutions that meet their objectives.

Whilst building the plans, you will not only expand your negotiating and sales skills, but also your financial & marketing skills, analytical acumen and leadership skills as you are responsible for your business unit from A-Z.

You'll be part of a customer-obsessed team in which teamwork, compassion and real a passion for winning are valued.

**Job Summary**
- You will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of relationships with veterinary business partners nationally to generate pet insurance leads for the sales team.
- You will supervise, motivate and coach the vet business development team to ensure the achievement of objectives and career growth plans.
- You will collaborate with other high performing operational departments, including Claims, Marketing and Sales departments to grow business development strategies.
- You will proactively monitor competitor movements, strategies, and initiatives and work on possible countermeasures where appropriate.
- You will be responsible for producing clear and concise reporting to track, analyse and record outcomes of team duties and business initiatives.

**Required Skills**:

- A strong leader who is willing to provide any support where required to assist the team in achieving targets.
- A proven dealmaker who has mastered acquiring, implementing, and maintaining successful business partnerships.
- Strong aptitude to plan, organize and implement business development strategies based on sound data analysis and interpretation.
- Be a self-starter with above average execution skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and assist the sales team to achieve sales targets.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, to express technical and nontechnical concepts clearly and concisely.

**Education, Experience, and other Requirements**
- 2 + years’ experience as a business development consultant or representative. Team management experience will be advantageous.
- A matric certificate is a minimum requirement as well as being computer literate for reporting that will be required
- This position requires travel to other provinces and overnight business trips. You need your own reliable wheels and a valid driver’s licence
