**_Job Description:_**

**_Achieve a consistent trajectory of growth from a database of Installers with large and/or bespoke projects for the Solar PV market within the South African and targeted Southern African markets._**

**_Requirements:_**
- _ Marketing/Sales Qualification_
- _ 5+ years of Sales Management experience_
- _ Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans_
- _ Solar PV product sales and electrical component sales experience_
- _ Must have experience overseeing multiple commercial projects_

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Responsible for upskilling, supporting, and managing the commercial sales team based in Johannesburg and Cape Town with the financial management of projects, constructing proposals for new work, and negotiating and concluding on all aspects of contracts at high value_
- Commercial Sales Strategy_
- _ Participate in the formulation and implementation of the overall long-term Commercial Sales Strategy_
- _ Set and monitor KPIs and KPIs for optimal performance to achieve Commercial sales targets consistent with direction from the Chief Sales Officer_
- Legal Compliance_
- _ Responsible for the overall legal compliance of the Commercial Sales department with relevant legislation and regulations_
- _ Ensure Group Company policies and legal guidelines are communicated throughout the Commercial Sales team and that they are always followed_
- _ Set policies for the Commercial sales department_
- _ Accountable for the delivery of required documentation for regulatory reporting by the due date_
- Finance_
- _ Provide input into the development of budgets for the Commercial sales department_
- _ Continuously search ways to ensure optimal cost utilization for all Commercial sales activities_
- Stakeholder Relations_
- _ Build and maintain trust relationships with the UK, Management Team, key Suppliers, and Customers to ensure business needs are met and employees are self-motivated and driven_
- _ Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, contribute to Commercial sales operational initiatives and projects, review and communicate the impact of activities_
- _ Work collaboratively, negotiate, and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate the delivery and achievement of the Commercial sales strategy_
- _ Ensure effective relationships with Customer businesses by maintaining an appropriate interface with Commercial Account Managers and Customers_
- _ Improve the customer service experience, create engaged customers, and facilitate organic growth_
- _ Take ownership of customer issues and follow problems through to resolution_
- _ Facilitate and encourage effective intra
- and cross-departmental interaction_
- People Management_
- _ Lead and manage the Commercial Sales team by promoting teamwork, providing guidance and support, empowering decision making and driving a performance-based culture_
- _ Proactively contribute to creating a good team atmosphere, takes ownership of team cohesion and team development_
- _ Develop an enabling workplace through the provision of required resources, infrastructure, and processes to execute job functions_
- _ Strive to maintain an ethical and engaged workforce that is conducive to attracting, retaining, and motivating talented employees at all levels_
- _ Develop, coach/train, and mentor direct reports_
- _ Ensure training and developmental needs of the Commercial Sales team are identified, required training schedules completed and training provided_
- _ Identify and develop a successor_
- _ Actively participate in developing the companys culture that is performance-driven, attracts and retains Talent, and is focused on quality customer service by setting annual KPIs for the Commercial Sales team, ensuring alignment to company objectives, measuring performance, and providing feedback_
- _ Communicate with Commercial Sales staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements_
- Commercial Sales Management Tasks_
- _ Day-to-day management of the Commercial Sales team_
- _ Drive sales according to the commercial product portfolio whilst providing feedback for improvement/change to the portfolio, marketing, and key sales messages_
- _ Develop commercial sales plans with direction from the Chief Sales Officer_
- _ Implement team sales targets and goals consistent with direction from the Chief Sales Officer_
- _ Closely manage the prospects list alongside the Commercial Account Managers and actively participate and assist in the negotiation and close of commercial and/or bespoke sales and contract escalations_
- _ Develop high-level relationships with key decision makers within existing and potential customers_
- _ Contribute to establishing and maintaining effective customer relations by personally or in conjunction with the commercial sales team resolving problems or responding to inquiries_
