**You’ll be**
- Calculating all payable hours, commissions, bonuses, and deductions in line with the biometric system and bargaining council requirements.
- Managing electronic timekeeping systems or manually collecting and reviewing timesheets
- Ensuring employee records are accurate and kept up to date on the system in conjunction with the HR department.
- Ensuring compliance to all legislative payroll requirements
- Investigate all payroll queries and provide line managers with a timeous response.
- Providing information and answering employee questions about payroll-related matters
- Stay abreast with legislative changes as and when they are updated.
- Prepare all payroll reports for bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reviews.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as the Collective Agreement under your Jurisdiction.
- Ensure the payroll is reviewed and authorised by the relevant Finance Manager before release.
- Ensure employees payslips are submitted on time.
- Ensure filling of all payroll documentation accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related inquiries.
- Liaise with current and ex-employees regarding job confirmation, UI.19, Maternity Policies, and Department of Labour queries.

**You’ll have**
- Working knowledge of Sage VIP or Sage Payroll Professional (non-negotiable)
- Experience working with Barganing Council
- Minimum three years payroll experience
- Detailed knowledge of statutory requirements i.e. PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA
- Good understanding and working knowledge of relevant Acts (LRA, BCEA, OSHA, COID, EEA)
- Proven work experience as a Payroll Administrator
- Experience with payroll software and biometric clocking systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Own transport and Driver’s License
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Experience in a Unionized environment preferred
- Energy & drive to perform in a high-pressure environment
- Degree in business administration, finance or accounting -Desirable
