The Country Product Technical Specialist (CPTS) BD Biosciences will support our vision to become the partner of choice for customer focused solutions by leading the technical support of a given selection of instruments in their country, representing the service needs & requirements to wider stakeholders in the organization & offering ongoing support to field associates in the area of expertise.

- Manages territory of instruments performing repair, maintenance, installation & upgrades
- Supports development of service capabilities of local teams on given instruments
- Exemplifies service excellence, industry leadership and levering service innovation to unleash customer and business success
- Support the launch and adoption of new technologies and portfolio innovations for given instruments
- Serves as a role model and mentor by demonstrating BD values
- Effectively collaborates with local and European marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Quality and European Life Sciences partners to support new product launch, pre sales and post sales service of assigned instruments
- Lead technical escalations relating to the field of expertise, working with FSE & Service Manager to design appropriate actions & communicate appropriately with all stakeholders.
- Represent your country on European & Global technical forums within the field of expertise, sharing information with local colleagues to impact locally capabilities

**About You**
- Bachelor’s university degree is preferred electrical, mechanical, or biomedical
- 5 -10 years work experience working on flowcytometry/Haematology / within the medical devices industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office advance level
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a matrix organization
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, verbal) - Ability to communicate effectively, considering the comprehension levels of parties to whom the communication is addressed.
- Ability and willingness to undertake regular travel within South Africa and outside South Africa when necessary.
- Demonstrates ability to effectively lead initiatives, support others in everyday performance by coaching and training, offering ongoing support and acting as a role model.
- Being accountable & responsible as being a member of a wider BD team, providing solutions and introducing corrective actions when needed.
- Ability to be flexible and agile in keeping up with customer needs; is on the cutting edge of defining their next level of expectations and working to exceed them.
- Going above and beyond to meet customer needs, always maintaining can-do attitude, proactively responding to customer feedback, and offering solutions, demanding excellence in all service provision.
