**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and competent individual to support the Office of the Director: Financial Management in the strategic and day to day operations. To further render a secretarial support to the Director with the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and in certain instances to work irregular hours.

**Minimum Requirements**:
Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification) plus an accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualification (a certificate of completion should be provided); A minimum of 3 years experience in rendering a support services to senior manager.

Knowledge and understanding of the following: Regulations/policies/prescripts and procedures; Financial Management; Human Resource Management; Skills needed: Good interpersonal and decision makiing; Written and verbal communication; Organising and planning; Customer service orientation; Advance computer literacy skills; Ability to liaise with diverse people.

**Remuneration**:
R 308 154 per annum (Salary level 7)

Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
