Rigging / Crane Operations Costing Project Manager

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Matric, plus Diploma in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- 5 10 years experience in a similar role with strong technical aptitude
- Must have experience in an operations role where you have experience meeting clients on sites, completing measurements and able to provide accurate costing estimations and quotations for various services offered
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Problem solving, ability to deal with conflict resolution
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Strong time management, planning and organisational skills
- Ability to engage and interact well with staff working on site

**DUTIES**
- Onsite visits for operational requirements, meeting with clients on all service offerings
- Ensure availability of resources and secure subcontractors
- Analyse and draw up project plans while conducting costing per project for clients
- Draw up quotations per project and advise all parties that will need to be involved
- Management of available resources, employees, plant, equipment and subcontractors
- Manage transport availability and abnormal loads if required
- Assist in design, fabrication and testing of new equipment requirements
- Manage and monitor daily operations
- Check progress of projects, identify shortfalls and confirm effective utilisation of all resources
- Monitor costing, check variances and participate in all site meetings
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures ensuring PPE is worn and maintained by employees
- Ensure all employees are inducted at each new site/client
- Run through Health & Safety file with site and client representative on the job
- Develop corrective measures for improvement and draw up SOPs for new rigging equipment requirements
- Ensure quotes are followed up and all hire contracts are completed
- Manage and oversee credit limits and follow up on outstanding accounts in line with projects
- Draw up sales order pack and all related documentation
- Assist with investigations related to department & investigate trends to finetune costing and quotations
- Investigate trends within the industry to finetune costing and quotations
- Draw up forecast for potential and secured projects/client
- Managing employees in department ensuring completion of departmental job descriptions
- Manage employee personal development plans, manage work performance and conduct department performance appraisals
- Organise training requirements
- Manage absenteeism and leave requirements for department
