**Your tasks**:

- Provide a long-term competitive advantage and maximize profitable revenue through the analysis of strategic marketing efforts and effective service product pricing. Lead, develop, and manage the product initiatives for Airfreight to deliver the overall growth of the business market share in SA. Build a high level of brand awareness and reputation as first line contact to our clients.
- Define price strategies and tactics in order to obtain highest possible sales volumes on the bases of overall price strategies.
- Grow and maintain current business, identifying market opportunities and Hi Potential clients / prospects and create and implement product strategies to develop new business and achieve sales targets and results while ensuring that CRM system is managed and maintained.
- Provide commercial support for tender management in order to close commercially favourable tenders and RFQ’s to the overall product function in order to close complex and commercially favourable sales deals.
- Calculate cost structures which allow and support market competitive pricing agreements with the clients.
- Develop a framework for managing pricing risk in support of the company product and operational efforts.
- Provide and enhance business intelligence through the establishment and development of a network with potential and existing customers or key accounts.
- Ensure that all activities in the area of responsibility are compliant with current legal and company specific regulations.
- Lead, support, and manage the airfreight pricing department with completion of daily spot quotes.
- Negotiate preferential rates with airlines, transporters, and overseas office.
- Maintain preferential rates before they expire.
- Develop business relationships with customers, network offices, service providers to continuously secure business.
- Know and understand the airfreight market to enhance success conversion ratio.
- Know and understand airline routing, different types of aircraft, and different commodities. Identify the best airline to be used for specific routes and commodities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet the deadline without delay.
- Follow up to closure open quotes with customers, commercial team, and oversea offices.
- Complete daily register and share info with Regional Head Office, what quotes are open, closed won or lost with reasons.
- Achieve the departmental objective of getting a competitive quote in front of the customer first
- Analyse local processes and reports to ensure efficiencies are being applied with fully utilized resources
- Ensure pricing system and rates system are aligned and maintained.
- Collaborate with the tender desk, operations managers, commercial teams, carriers, partners and trade lane managers to present the best available solution and pricing to our clients.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant Technical & Industry experience
- Marketing/Finance Degree
- 10’years tender management experience
- Proven track record and experience in pricing, estimating and sales
- Knowledge of clearing and forwarding industry and service offering
