Sales & Marketing Manager

**JOB AT A GLANCE**:
The incumbent will lead and oversee all sales and marketing activities within the company. He/she will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to drive revenue growth, increase market share, enhance brand visibility, and manage promotional campaigns, and customer engagement.
The incumbent will maintain relationships with external stakeholders, and lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a creative and results-driven environment.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- **Developing Sales and Marketing Strategies**: Create and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Identify target markets, customer segments, and competitive positioning to drive revenue growth and market share.
- **Setting Sales Targets and Goals**: Establish sales targets, quotas, and performance goals for the companies. Monitor progress regularly and provide guidance and support to achieve desired outcomes. Evaluate sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions when necessary.
- **Conducting Market Research**: Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and market trends. Analyse data and insights to drive informed decision-making and refine sales and marketing strategies. Stay updated on industry developments and the competitive landscape.
- **Developing Marketing Campaigns**: Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns to promote products or services, increase brand awareness, and generate leads. Collaborate with the graphic designer to develop compelling marketing materials, digital campaigns, advertising initiatives, and social media strategies.
- **Managing Customer Relationships**: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. Develop customer retention strategies and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Address customer concerns and provide timely and effective solutions. Identify opportunities for up-selling or cross-selling.
- **Monitoring Sales Performance**: Analyze sales data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics to evaluate sales performance and identify areas for improvement. Generate regular reports on sales activities, revenue, and market share. Present findings to senior management and recommend strategies for enhancing performance.
- **Collaborating with Cross-functional Teams**: Work closely with other companies to align sales and marketing strategies with overall business objectives. Coordinate product launches, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to maximize sales and revenue.
- **Manage brand identity**:Maintain and enhance the company's brand image and reputation. Develop brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and visual identity. Ensure consistency across all marketing materials and communications.
- **Build and maintain relationships**: Establish and nurture relationships with external vendors, agencies, media partners, and stakeholders. Negotiate contracts, manage partnerships, and leverage industry connections to support sales and marketing efforts.
- **Team leadership and development**: Lead, mentor, and develop a team that will be working with. Provide guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve individual and team goals. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- **Budget Planning and Management**: Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget effectively. Allocate resources strategically, monitor expenses, and track return on investment (ROI) for marketing initiatives. Ensure budget utilization aligns with business goals and financial targets.
- **Staying Updated on Industry Trends**: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sales and marketing. Continuously develop professional knowledge and skills through industry conferences, workshops, and networking opportunities.
**KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCES**:
- _**Bachelor's Degree or Diploma**_ _: A bachelor's degree or diploma in marketing, business administration, retail management, or a related field. Specializations in sales and marketing or digital marketing are beneficial._
- _**Relevant Experience**_ _: 5 to 8 yrs of experience in sales and marketing roles, with progressively increasing responsibilities and demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving targets. Prior experience in retail sales and marketing is highly desirable._
- _**Industry Knowledge**_ _: In-depth knowledge of the retail industry, including current trends, consumer preferences, and competition. Understanding the retail customer journey, customer retention strategies, and effective sales techniques specific to the retail environment._
