**Responsibilities**
**Product Knowledge**:
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts, with a specific focus on European, American, and Japanese truck models.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new releases, and advancements in heavy-duty truck technologies.
**Customer Engagement**:
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding clients' specific needs.
**Sales and Quotations**:
- Proactively engage in parts sales, including generating and presenting quotations.
- Effectively communicate product features, benefits, and pricing to potential and existing customers.
**Market Analysis**:
- Conduct thorough analyses of the South African commercial market landscape.
- Identify market trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities for expanding product offerings.
**Relationship Building**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external sales teams to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Must have existing customer database
**Order Processing**:
- Efficiently process customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize order fulfillment.
**Technical Support**:
- Provide technical support to customers regarding heavy-duty truck parts.
- Assist in troubleshooting and offering solutions for parts-related inquiries.
**Cross-functional Collaboration**:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including purchasing, logistics, and marketing, to streamline operations and improve customer experience.
- Communicate market demands and customer feedback to relevant departments.
- Collaborate with external reps and work as a team to achieve sales objectives
**Documentation and Reporting**:
- Maintain accurate and organized records of customer interactions, transactions, and sales activities.
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback.
**Training and Development**:
- Stay informed about product updates and industry changes through continuous learning.
- Share knowledge with colleagues and contribute to the training of new team members.
**Requirements**:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in internal sales, preferably in heavy-duty parts. Knowledge of European, American, and Japanese heavy-duty trucks is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English. Knowledge of additional languages is advantageous.
- Technical Proficiency: Solid understanding of heavy-duty truck components, specifications, and compatibility.
- Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the South African commercial market, including key players, market dynamics, and customer preferences.
- Customer-centric: Strong customer focus with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office, and other relevant sales tools.
