- An exciting position is available for a qualified actuary or nearly qualified actuary with a hybrid skillset across actuarial and valuations to grow and lead a financial impact capability within the Strategy, Product and Business Dev team. The Head of Impact Analytics will harness the actuarial, data science, valuations, and software skills available to measure and track the performance of Rewards and Loyalty initiatives across the Sanlam Group. This will enable Sanlam Fintech to optimise its investment in R&L through the measurement and adjustment of products and behavioural science tools.- The individual appointed to this position is expected to:
- **Engage with stakeholders** across our business to design and produce reports on financial performance of products with loyalty bonuses and the resultant business and client impact.
- **Collaborate with key busines**ses and R&L Product Owners to develop and perform KPI, ROI and other indicators that will monitor and measure the outcomes of rewards strategies.
- ** Assist in the development and execution of key functions** within the Product Team to support Sanlam R&L with analytical insights and management feedback.

**Output/Core Tasks**
- Compile stakeholder reports on rewards & loyalty key performance indicators, ROI on investment of businesses, engagement and reach for different client groups
- Analytical and financial modelling of earn and burn side strategies including the management of loyalty benefits and pricing models
- Act as a liaison between Actuarial and R&L in order to ensure that rewards concepts are adequately priced and valued
- Perform analytical studies for other functional areas as required
- Measure & monitor the group-wide loyalty & rewards initiatives including the impact of growth, cross-sell and up-sell opportunities.
- A key responsibility would be to assist the business to measure and monitor the success of using AI and analytics to identify and execute on these opportunities.
- Measure & monitor the performance of insurance products with the Wealth Bonus loyalty components. These products include:

- Matrix Premier with Wealth Bonus
- Echo RA with Wealth Bonus
- Echo Preservation Fund
- Sanlam RA
- Glacier Wealth Edge product
- Money Saver Credit card
- Sanlam Personal Loans
- Sanlam Indie products
- Sanlam Wealth Bonus Booster products

**What will make you successful in this role?**
- Experience in life and or short term insurance.
- Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages when managing data: (eg. R, Python, SQL, etc.)
- Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholder use
- Bachelors and/or Master’s degree in data science, mathematical statistics, computer science or related field would be advantageous.
- Organized and self-starter: Mature professional with high standards for quality and quantity of delivering impactful business results
- People skills: Enjoys working with teams across functional areas including marketing, IT, Operations and actuarial. Open and honest communication and pro-active approach.
- Problem solver: Enjoys challenges and applies pragmatic thinking towards collaborating on solving complex business problems.
