Small, exclusive and very luxurious 5* Country House in the Winelands (Wellington area) is looking for an Assistant Manager to assist in all aspects of the day to day running of the business.

**What we are looking for**:
Hotel Diploma

Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position

Excellent communication skills

Attention to detail

Bilingual, a second European language is an advantage

Well presented

Reliable, responsible & honest

Outgoing, self-motivated & hard working

Needs to have self-initiative

PC literate (should have worked on a reservation system and is familiar with Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

Own transport essential (this is a live out position; applicants should live in the vicinity)

Able to work shifts, week-ends and public holidays

Can work well in a small team and motivate staff

**Your responsibilities include**:
Guest relations & concierge

Welcome and check-in of guests

Supervision of the housekeeping staff and checking of rooms

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner when required

Prepare simple meals (Breakfast, snacks, picnics)

Staff Management

Basic wedding planning & co-ordination

Performing stock take tasks and ordering

General operations & property maintenance

Full training in accordance to our high standards will be provided. You will be reporting directly to the owners who are very much involved in running the business. This position is suitable for a young and dynamic individual with a hotel diploma looking to further their career in the hospitality by being exposed to all aspects of managing a small upmarket property.
