**DHL Global Forwarding South Africa** has an opening for an
**OFR Import Controller**
**,** where you will be executing procedures in the administration of the Ocean Freight Import process. Join us now in connecting people and improving lives.

**In this** **OFR Import Controller** **position**
- You will provide documents timorously to enable delivery.
- You will identify, suggest, and reinforce improvement measures at departmental level in cooperation with Controllers, Entry clerks and Supervisors.
- You will support Operations Manager and Supervisor with the implementation of new/change of systems and directives.
- You will work in collaboration with Team leader, identifies COD vendor payments and reports to Vendor Manager for conversion to terms.
- You will coordinate/liaise/work with third party contact on operational activities, issue resolution, process execution and performance improvements according to corporate policy.
- You will provide cheque / EFT requisitions to creditors.
- You will keep updated with changes in regulations in SARS departments such as Border Police and anti-smuggling as well as with state vet, plant/port health.
- You will ensure that correct documentation to complete the delivery requirement is processed timorously.
- You will ensure that releases are handled timorously to avoid any delays in delivery and unnecessary storage.
- You will ensure that all queries raised are dealt with timorously.
- You will report to management, competitor intervention/market intelligence.
- You will be raising CCM’s where required, client complaints.

**Now, here’s what we need from you**
- 2 - 3 years Ocean Freight experience
- Matric essential
- CAT6 DG certificate will be advantageous
- Preferred Cargo Wise experience
- Customs regulation knowledge
- Regulation knowledge - SARS, road transport etc
