The African Union Development Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of **Senior Programme Officer - Project Management Unit, A2DSRH.**

Under the supervision of the of Programme Coordinator, A2DSRH PMU, the two (2) Senior Programme Officers will play a pivotal role in strategically coordinating and implementing the Africa Demographic Dividend and Sexual and Reproductive Health Programme. This position is within the Project Management Unit by driving the programme's objectives, ensuring alignment with the broader organizational strategy, and fostering effective collaboration among key stakeholders. In addition, the Senior Programme Officer will work directly with Member States and RECS to support programme implementation and meet deliverables.

**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Knowledge and experience in the regulation of medical products.
- Development of technical guidelines and standard operating procedures for regulating medical products.
- Knowledge and experience in harmonisation of standards and guidelines.
- Experience in undertaking joint regional regulatory activities.
- Development and publishing of knowledge products.
- Experience in mobilising experts and composing and managing technical committees.
- Data analysis and providing reports, as necessary, relating to the work of continental TCs.
- Ability to understand complex issues and to analyse information and data.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and to handle difficult situations effectively.
- High level of diplomacy and the ability to display discretion and respect for confidentiality.
- Management experience.
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in one of the AU official working languages (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic) and fluency in another AU language(s) is an added advantage Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.

**Education and Experience**:
Or

Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies or related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience within public sector institutions or similar organizations nationally, regionally, and/or continentally.

**Remuneration**:
Indicative basic salary of US$42,018.78 per annum plus other entitlements e.g. Post Adjustment (57% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($21,832.68 per annum), gratuity (15% of gross salary) in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff of the African Union.
