The African Union Development Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of **Senior Programme Officer - Project Management, Strategy And Development.**

Under the supervision of Senior Advisor to CEO, A2DSRH Programme and Programme Coordinator, A2DSRH PMU, the Senior Programme Officer will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and effective execution of the A2DSRH programme. This includes developing project management frameworks, leading the creation of integrated policy strategies, and ensuring alignment with AUDA-NEPAD’s goals. The role involves monitoring progress, managing resources, and fostering partnerships through high-level engagements and policy dialogues to support the advancement of sexual and reproductive health across Africa ensuring they align with AU Agenda 2063.

**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Knowledge and experience in project management and execution of projects using advanced and digital project tools.
- Experience in business process reengineering methodologies.
- Development and design of policy frameworks and guidelines.
- Knowledge and experience in developing strategic plans, operational strategies and monitoring.
- Knowledge and extensive experience in Risk Management.
- Experience in conducting research and managing technical committees.
- Experience in stakeholder engagement
- Proven track record of working in the public sector and collaborating with Public Private and Non-Governmental Organisation
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure with a wide range of individuals and institutions.
- Maintain confidentiality at the highest level at all times.
- Proficiency in one of the AU official working languages (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic) and fluency in another AU language(s) is an added advantage Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.

**Education and Experience**:
Or

Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies or related field plus a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience within public sector institutions or similar organizations nationally, regionally, and/or continentally.

**Remuneration**:
Indicative basic salary of US$42,018.78 per annum plus other entitlements e.g. Post Adjustment (57% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($21,832.68 per annum), gratuity (15% of gross salary) in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff of the African Union.
