Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator: Hospitals

**Key duties and responsibilities**:
**Planning, Monitoring, Evaluating and Reporting**
- Work together with the QI Advisor and Project Manager to design and implement measurement tools to monitor programme performance.
- Provide routine feedback to DOH staff on their quality and timeliness of reports, and support improvement where necessary.
- Verify collected data at DoH hospitals in the district to ensure accuracy.
**Technical support**
- Provide training to hospital team, and DoH staff in data management, cohort analysis and interpretation
- in line with Adult, Paediatric HIV/TB programmes.
- Provide training and technical assistance to ANOVA staff and DOH staff to ensure thorough and complete understanding, skill and ability to implement respective M&E plans.
- Use data to identify poor performing facilities on project indicators so as to guide clinical teams’ focus areas.
**Data Quality Management and data demand creation**
- Manage/support the collection of Research data and ensure data is cleaned, processed and ready for analysis.
- Perform monthly presentations (charts, graphs) on facilities’ data to Anova APACE management.
**Stakeholder Management**
- Liaise with relevant Anova staff ( M&E coordinator, M&E team, etc.) Managers at Department of Health, members of the consortium and other relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in district/ sub-district M & E technical Working groups related to Adult, Paediatric HIV programme& TB Program.
- Represent Anova in relevant M&E platforms related to the project.
**Any other tasks as agreed with line manager.**
**Minimum qualifications and experience**:
- Matric with relevant work experience required. Certificate/diploma in Information systems/other relevant area (NQF level 5) an added advantage.
- At 5 years working experience.
- At least 3 years’ working experience in the HIV/TB public healthcare setting.
- At least 2 years’ working experience with DHIS, Tier.ner, ETR and DoH M&E systems for HIV/TB programmes.
- Training in project and programme monitoring and evaluation and related fields.
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation techniques, procedures, and protocols.
- Experience working on M&E for funded projects (a plus).
- Demonstrated skills in quantitative data analysis and data management.
**Skills, competencies, and attributes**:
- Ability to analyse and report on programme performance,
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power Point, Excel, and other statistical software package.
