-The main purpose of this position is to support the Cyber and Information Security Unit (CISU) Head in driving and maturing cyber and information security within the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) Group as well as to coordinate the reporting, governance and budgeting functions.
-Detailed Description
Support the divisional budgeting process by anticipating requirements, ensuring overall coordination and submission of information for budget preparation; scheduling expenditures; monitoring costs and analysing variances.
- Work closely with the CISU Head in representing the CISU or providing needed support across operational committees, forums and meetings as appropriate.
- Liaise with the various units across the SARB Group in support of the Privacy, Cyber and Information Security (PCIS) Committee functioning, including follow up on matters arising, providing agendas, evaluating effectiveness and providing input into required structure and coverage of meetings.
- Coordinate the required activities of the CISU with the various SARB Group governance and risk functions.
- Analyse, interpret, integrate and effectively distribute CISU reporting in order to meet management information requirements.
- Engage with stakeholders across the SARB Group at different levels of seniority, displaying the ability to solicit information as well as convey and explain information fluently.
Job Requirements
a Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Security, Information Technology or an equivalent qualification;
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM); and
- seven to nine years’ experience in a security management environment, with two years’ exposure within a cyber and information security function.
