Operational Excellence and Performance Improvement

Main Purpose:
The main purpose of the position is to:

- Provide strong operational support Regional Head of Department
- Coordinate the activities of the department divisions (Operations, Transport, Lubricants Supply Chain)

Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Roles and responsibilities:

- Set smart dashboard and KPI to measure department continuous improvement on operational excellence to ensure customers (internal and external) satisfaction
- Review and simplify processes while ensuring their efficiencies and effectiveness
- Support divisions on medium to major projects and initiatives
- Conduct in situ operational reviews and audits to ensure in country teams understand and stick to the basics
- Work closely with the Contract Performances analyst to review existing contracts including performance metrics to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

Skills and requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply and logistics, business administration, or related field that would provide a strong background is required
- Master’s Post graduate degree is preferred
- 5-10 years’ proven experience petroleum Downstream Logistics, Transport and Operations activities
- Ability to effectively manage interfaces and relationships to the safeguard the best interest of all parties
- Excellent ability to step back and analyse challenges while being effectively on ground to provide concrete solutions
- Ability to work in autonomy and collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams
- Fluent in English. Fluent in French and/or Portuguese will be a strong advantage.
- High ethical and integrity mindset
- Results oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities on time lines
- Commitment to working in a team environment, with established team building abilities
- Flexible and pragmatic
- Capable of analysing problems, making decisions within delegation of authority and solving timely
- Proactive planning and prioritization
- Assertive, approachable and has good communication skills
